How do I send in a letter to the editor?

Letters to the editor, of no more than 400 words, that follow our criteria are welcome and will be considered for publication or posting online. The preferred method is to email letters to letters@chicagotribune.com or to fill out the form here that appears below our criteria.

Are obituaries available on chicagotribune.com?

Both editorial obituaries and death notices are available.

Paid death notices placed through our Classified Advertising department may run for as many days as the family requests. Notices may include pertinent familial information and the date and time of a funeral service. For information on submitting a death notice, click here.

News obituaries are written by the staff of the Chicago Tribune.
