Crown Point

St. Mary Catholic Community School: 405 E. Joliet St. — St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point will hold its annual Open House from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 24. The open house will allow those attending to learn more about the education, numerous extracurricular activities, parent involvement, and faith-filled environment that St. Mary’s School has to offer. St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church: 2426 W. 125th Ave. — There will be a mother and child group at St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church for “Muffins with Moms” from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Jan. 9 in the Youth Room. The Family Life Ministry event will give moms a chance to spend the morning connecting with other moms while their children play. Muffins and a fun activity for kids will be provided. The playgroup is designed for children ages 5 and under. Family Christian Center: 340 45th St. — Family Christian Center will have a new members class in person or via Zoom from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Jan. 7. The class will allow those attending to take the first step in becoming a new member at the Family Christian Center. Liberty Bible Church: 1155 S. Sturdy Road — Girls and friends in Pre-K through fourth grade are welcome to a Girl’s Tea Party from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 13 at Liberty Bible Church’s Valparaiso campus. The group will meet downstairs for the tea party, and parents can drop kids off for the party and take a two-hour break.
