How to wager on Wednesday with BetMGM
Utah Jazz (+185) vs. Indiana Pacers (-225)
The Jazz travel to Indianapolis for a matchup with the Pacers on Wednesday night.
Utah was routed by the Bulls on Monday, giving up 130 points in total. That said, Lauri Markkanen played well and the young center Walker Kessler had 15 points and 15 boards.
The Jazz appear to be angling for a kind of modern twin towers approach with Markkanen facilitating and scoring from the wing or high post while Kessler sweeps up down low. Thus far, it’s worked well but hasn’t translated to a ton of wins.
The Pacers play at a somewhat similar pace as the big man Myles Turner is the center, literally and metaphorically, of the offense. Indiana is coming off an insane walloping of Wemby and the Spurs Monday night in which the Pacers scored a jaw-dropping 152 points, including 44 in the first quarter.
Despite the high point total, they had six players in double figures and no one scored more than 23 points. The Pacers have been getting it done by moving the ball and exploiting the drive and kick (though shooting 52 percent from beyond the arc does help).
Overall, the Pacers are six point favorites at home with the O/U at 241. That total is just on the edge of playable honestly, if you’re feeling lucky play it to 243 but even with the power of both offenses, it’s a bit risky.
The Pacers on the moneyline are a solid bet as they’ll exploit the Jazz on the weak side with the speed their guards have.
